Sixth-plate, hand-colored daguerreotype in leather case of Cora Lyman Shaw (b. 1828), wife of Gardiner Howland Shaw, and her daughter, Amy. The photograph is attributed to John Adams Whipple and was taken in 1854. Enclosed are two notes in unknown hands identifying the photograph.
